This is something else that all men want but don't know about it. As you know, we men have big egos. These big egos might be big, but they are fragile. They can be easily shattered, causing us to feel like we're not much of a man.
If you validate us and make us feel useful by feeling happy when we provide for you and give you gifts etc, this will make us feel happy. We feel like we're doing our job and we'll keep doing it happily.
3. Hardship
Believe it or not, men want to go through tough times. We want to be challenged. If you make things easy for us and simply let us do whatever we want, we won't feel like you're challenging us. However, if you make it hard for us to make you happy, we'll try harder and harder to make you happy.
When we finally do reach that goal, we will have overcome two hurdles: validation and hardship. The resulting success feels so good that it's worth experiencing the hardship to get to.
